Alpaca Products Store Our alpaca farm store is stocked with a variety of alpaca garments and household items including: scarves, stoles, mittens, gloves, and sweaters, handwoven bags, alpaca fur bears, alpaca miniatures, and blankets. We also have yarns, rovings and raw fleece in many colors. Alpaca Fleece Bay Springs Farm is now offering alpaca fiber from our own herd. This fine blanket fleece is perfect for hand spinning and crafts. We shear our animals in May and currently have the following colors available •White Prices for prime blanket range from $1.25 to $2.25 per ounce. Seconds for crafts and felting can be purchased for $5 - $10 per pound. Alpaca Yarns We offer a fine selection of 3-ply DK weight 100% Classic Alpaca and bulky weight yarns for hand knitting. Natural colors include: white, beige, tan, dark brown, light gray, dark gray, and black. Four dozen dyed shades are available in colors including various blues, purples, greens, reds, and heathers. Cost for Classic Alpaca is $6.50 per 1.75 ounce skein (50 grams) and $7.50/skein for Baby Alpaca. NEW! Bay Springs Farm now has yarn from some of our wonderful award-winning alpacas in white, black, and fawn, priced at $6/an ounce. Supplies are limited Handpainted yarns are $18/100 gm. skein. Big Baby chunky yarns are $13.50/ 100 gm. skein. We carry several alpaca/silk and alpaca/merino blends blends in a variety of colors. For lace knitters, we offer Glimmer at $9.00/ball and Suri Elegance at $40/hank. Prices include shipping and handling on orders of $200.00 or more. Our farm store is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10AM to 4PM or at other times by appointment.
